IMBA Epic Trails

Tanasi Trail, Ocoee, Tennessee

There’s more than 600 miles of trail in the Cherokee National Forest, and nearly all of it is open to mountain bikers. The best of the bunch is the 32-mile Tanasi Trail System, situated near the banks of the Ocoee River in the park’s southern sector.

Telegraph Trails, Durango, Colorado

The Telegraph trails include the area's first wagon road as well as old communications lines. Durango trail advocates have enhanced these historical routes by building many miles of new singletrack, providing first-rate riding close to town.

The Edge Loop, Fruita, Colorado

This trail is the crown jewel of Fruita, it's the site of the very first IMBA Epic and one BIG ride.

The Nan, North Conway, New Hampshire

The Lower Nanamocomuck Trail is two hours North of Boston just outside the mountain playground of North Conway. This out-and-back ride parallels the boulder-strewn Swift River and includes tight singletrack, log bridges and plenty of rocks and roots.

The Southern Traverse, Harrisonburg, Virginia

Take a ride into history on the Southern Traverse Epic located in Virginia's George Washington National Forest. Trails stamped in by Civil War soldiers are now available for mountain bikers to march through.

Tsali Trails, Bryson City, North Carolina

In the early 1800s a Cherokee Indian named Tsali escaped into North Carolina's Great Smoky Mountains, fleeing the US Army's attempt at a forced relocation. He bargained with his life so that his people could remain in the region.
